Enter the Glade

On your travels through the glade, you and your companion stumble upon a small thicket, completely unassuming - yet intriguing somehow

As the daylight filters through the swaying brances, you hear a small voice reminiscent of sweet chimes drifting through the air.

"Hello?" the voice curiously whispers, "you have come to see my wares?" the small popoko hops out of his nesting place, he is rather small but a sweet looking fellow.

His face lights up as the distance between you closes "My name is, Cherumi!", he says, his face beaming, "have you come to see the toys I make?"

The small creature bounces through the bushes, gesturing you to follow. As you move through the thicket you notice a quaint area opening ahead.

The popoko seems to have made quite the den, with a burrow filled to the brim with old fabrics, and various barrels and boxes around with miscellaneous trinkets.

There are multiple charms dangling from the nearby branches, catching the little light that passes through, and a small brook enhances the gentle atmosphere with its song.

"Welcome!!", Cherumi encourages you to sit down, "this is wear I work! You see, I like to make plushies! I was the first pet to be with Gem, and I love being with my owner but it was lonely without family. To help me feel better, Gem taught me how to sew plushies, it is good fun and something about having them around makes me feel less alone! I have family now, but it's nice to come here and continue my hobby."

You look around you at the collection of toys, some of them look better than others but you can see the love that has gone into each one. You spot one, buried slightly, with a strange charm about it. It isn't perfect but looking at it brings you some joy.

"Oh! You like that one? I think that one is very good. If you like, you can ask my owner for it, I'm not supposed to hand them out to everyone haha."

You sit there together for a little while longer, while he shows you through his creations and tells stories about his battle training and all the books he's read.

The light soon begins to fade from the forest and it is time for you to leave; Cherumi safely shows the quickest way back to the open area.

"It was lovely to meet you!" he says as you begin to part ways, Oh--!, remember to ask my owner about a plushie if you want one! Come back soon"

The sun passes and the minute you turn back to look at Cherumi, he has gone.
