Sylvester and Rumble were 2 cats that I raised from small kittenhood, that for a short period I was allowed to be a part of their world. They didn't ever let me take their picture, so I can only imagine their appearance as I try to share it with you.
Sylvester looked exactly like his cartoon namesake, only he had a black moustache. And a normal sized neutral colored nose. He was a cat, though he fit in with our looney family. He only stayed with me one school year, to comfort me after Rumble disappeared I think.
Rumble (not his photo, sadly)
was the most amazing cat I ever met. I found him as a small kitten, mewling on a trash can at a gas station, and when I went over to him, he literally climbed onto me and meowed (sounded like he said "Feed me"). I tried to grab his siblings but they scattered. So I took him home to feed him, and he allowed us to have him for a spell. He would climb onto my lap, give me a hug with both paws on either side of my neck and do a chin rub, first to the left, then to the right. I found out that's called bunting, and it's how the "mark" their affections. He hugged me every day for almost a year until he disappeared.
I can only hope he followed someone home and they kept him in their house.
He was one of a kind and I miss his affection.
