Family: Dana has a sister and step-father he hasn't spoken to in nearly a decade. They care about his well-being, but his intensely selfish nature and constant acting out forced them to distance themselves from his actions and their subsequent reactions or else be sucked into the negative gravity well along with everything else. When Dana was fourteen, his mother severed herself from the family without explanation. Being too biased to understand the true nature of their separation, or to pick up on the subtle hints foreshadowing her abandonment, he naturally placed the blame on his step-father. Dana has not forgiven him.
