She wasn't quite sure how she’d made that happen. She moved her claw around, the fireball following her movements. That was interesting. She tapped her chin with a claw from her free hand, looking around her room thoughtfully.
She tried blowing on it to put out the flame, but it didn't seem to work. She started to get a little worried that she wouldn't be able to get rid of it. She tried waving her hand around, and it just seemed to get bigger.
As her worry turned into full blown panic, she realized that she was beginning to feel the heat in her claws. Yelping, she tried throwing the flame as hard as she could.
It worked.
But she probably should have aimed better, as the fireball hit her desk, setting it alight.
The fire didn't spread, luckily, but it burnt the desk into a pile of ash awfully quickly. She prodded the ash, but it had cooled immediately.
She wanted to experiment, see if she could create another fireball, but first she figured she should take some precautions. She grabbed a bucket of water to keep with her.
Back in her room, she stared at her claws and concentrated. She could feel a heat throughout her body. She tried to channel it to her hand, but nothing happened.
She tried and tried and tried but nothing happened. She could feel the heat but could do nothing with it.
Sighing, she decided that perhaps she had imagined it all. She began to walk out of her room, when a tingling sensation caused her to look down at her claws.
They were flaming, once again.
