An angels voice is one of the most powerful magical forces.
Auditore was a low rank, guardian angel type figure, tricked by three powerful mages into a physical body. From here she was captured and her voice cruelly stripped from her via a painful ritual, then tossed aside powerless and broken.

Not sure on the middle part of her story yet, after she returns to her own realm, but is never able to regain her voice and is left physically scarred by the ordeal. Finds strength in her silence, becoming a comfort to those who just wish to talk.
Eventually learns that silence can be one of the most intimidating things, finds her way back to those who stole her voice and puts the very fear of God into them, destroys the instruments that were used so it can never happen again.(Silent, angry angel staring you down in the dead of night, eyes aglow and radiating cold, ruthless anger sounds terrifying to me xD)

Now works as keeper of the scales of judgement, her silent stare compelling those before her to tell all of their sins.

To those deemed worthy, she's a soft and comforting ray of hope, along with those who have gone through trauma.
