Ahoy!
The steady sound of water lapping against the ship was soothing. Even docked, it rocked gently, sails stowed for the night. A form swaggered along the dock, feathers ruffled and sticking up at all angles. Narrowing her gaze, she peered up at the ship. The moon was full and made for good visibility.

"Ahoy, Cap, rough night?"

The fester grinned, rolling her shoulders. "Not in the least, Bask. All ship shape?"

The pherret barked laughter and slapped the railing, nodding. "Nothin' unusual. No word from that priest?" He looked mildly concerned. "Crew's gettin' antsy, aye?"

Euroxa was well aware of that, but she had no oversight of the odd priest or the way they did things. They had hired her crew, so they were at the mercy of a priest that struck Euroxa as odd on every level. But, coin was coin and she wasn't going to complain when they were getting paid to sit around. "Nothin' another ration of grog can't solve, hm?" She flashed another smile and began to climb up the ramp. Bask chuckled, nodding.

"That should do it, I think." He bobbed his head and offered her a hand up, gripping her forearm and yanking her forward.

"We'll hear something soon, I suspect. Nothin' seems off 'bout this port, so chances are whatever the priest is lookin' for isn't here. Or, if it is, it's doin' a fine job'a hidin', isn't it?" She chuckled dryly, leaning against the rail to look out over the ocean.

Bask hummed, nodding his agreement and joining his captain in a good lean. Euroxa continued: "Can't get a word out'a them, but you know how that lot is. Mysterious isn' half of it. Crazy is the other half." Bask barked a laugh in response.

"But they pay well."

"Very well," Euroxa agreed with a predatory grin. "And I'll collect their coin day and night. Easy work, though can' imagine why this one chose to hire us on."

"Crazy," Bask huffed. "Like you said."

"Crazy," Euroxa agreed, watching the moon slowly creepy across the sky. "Should get some sleep while I can, I suppose. Enjoy your watch," she clapped Bask on the shoulder and swaggered off to her cabin. She didn't know what the priest was after, but Benevolence paid up front and her crew could stand to sail back and forth for a few weeks on whatever chase they were on.

"Aye," Euroxa heaved a sigh as she settled into her bunk. "Taking your coin is the easiest part of the job."
