I made this custom pet in July of 2020 after my irl Pomeranian named London. A month later, she got sick. Her sinuses were constantly draining and she ate less, slept more. A month after that, in September, the entire left side of her face became paralyzed. When the vet put her under to give her a nasal flush, they found a very large mass in her throat. Biopsies confirmed that it was a malignant, inoperable, cancerous tumor. I put her to sleep on September 25th, 2020.
I'm not sure what to do with this pet as it was never my intention that it be a postmortem remembrance, but deleting it would genuinely hurt.
London loved to lick people's faces. She would jump high into your arms after not seeing you for awhile, and she would spend minutes licking you, no matter how hard you tried to get her to stop. She loved doing tricks for treats. She could sit, lay down, spin, rollover, and shake. Even as sick as she was on her final day, she still tried to shake my hand without a prompt.
She had dry skin all of her life and I always fed her a dog food that had oatmeal in it for her skin. She had fluffy, fluffy fur that would get matted if I didn't take her to the groomer at least every two to three months. The groomers always said she was the sweetest girl. It was true - even when I would have to pull hard on a matted area to get it out, she would yelp and show her teeth. Then she would lick my hand, as if to say sorry that the idea had ever crossed her mind.
Her favorite kinds of toys were crinkle toys that sounded like paper when you moved them. Her first toy ever was a crinkle fox toy. If they had little squeakers in them, she loved them even more. She also enjoyed playing fetch with tiny balls. Sometimes she would roll them around on her own when she was bored. They would go under the bed or the couch, and she would get on her belly and scooch around until she could retrieve the toy herself.
She wasn't ever a fan of other dogs. She would bark and bark and bark at them as if she was something to be feared. It caused issues for her sometimes, with bigger dogs. She was really the sweetest and I'm sure only barked to notice the unusual. She just really loved people more than anything. She made so many friends wherever I took her (Hawaii, Mississippi, Louisiana, California and a little trip to Lake Tahoe). Most lap dogs I've met don't necessarily enjoy sitting in a lap, but she sure did.
She liked treats, laying in her kennel, laying on the cold floor, relaxing in bed together, and belly scratches.
I buried her in my mother's pasture, wrapped in a blanket, and planted a tree on top of her.
