Story

"Ugh, history," Pale flipped open his history book and put it on his bed reading a few sentences aloud, "which led to the period of contemporary art and postmodern criticism, where cultures of the world and of history are seen as changing forms, which can be appreciated and drawn from only with irony. Furthermore the separation of cultures...." He sighed, flipping through the pages he had to base an art-piece on. He wasn't much for history or staying to a certain style of art. If it had to be done though, it had to be done.

"Okay!" He said excitedly slamming his book closed, "Let's get started then." He pulled out his easel and various paints, setting it up in front of his room's window. "Now let's see-- Romanticism." He picked up a small painters brush and began his first project.

The painting 'The Entombment of Atala' was from the romantic era. It showed a woman torn between her lover and her religion. She promised to stay pure, but she falls in love with him and wants to marry. Unable to fully pursue either side of her life she killed herself using poison.

Pale loved this painting for many reasons, but mostly the passion in the piece. (tbc)
