When Rain was young her parents died protecting her from magnus poachers.

The wood fairies saw what happened and took her in and raised her.

As an adult she commits her life's work to fairy/pixie/sprite studies learning ways to preserve the fairies lives as they are slowly dying off as a result of not being able to live in today's modern society.

"There 's too much pollution and a lack of believers in your magical world" Rain explains to the fairies, now being older and more educated in the world around her.

She studies to help keep the fairies and their counter species alive and through study has been able to adjust them to todays' society so that they may thrive in the environment that they still have, as well as trying to preserve and encourage the belief in magic around the world. She still has a lot of work ahead of her!
