Not much is known about this lady in question. If you ask her where she comes from, she'll say that her homeland is "far and away in both distance and time". If asked what she prefers to be called by, she has various given names and titles to choose from. Although her most common response is Noelei. (Say it with me, Noh-ehl-lee) For the time being, we'll assume that this alias is her true name. And if you were to ask her where she was going, she would only smile and reply "Wherever the first evening star leads me".

Noelei. Now why does that name sound so familiar? Maybe you heard it from a friend or relative; during a mythology lecture or caught a glimpse of it while flipping through the pages of a children's book. Her name was in all those places and more. For when she says "in both distance and time," she means it quite literally. There have been depictions of persons bearing a striking resemblance to Noelei in the history and legends of every culture all throughout the world's timeline. You see, by 'following' the first star that appears when the sun's light has faded, she finds -- sometimes without even knowing it -- the small tears in the fabric of time and space.

You are probably getting frustrated with this narration by now, and still wondering how just meeting a strange traveler like this could ever possibly transform your life. Well, I'll tell it to you bluntly. Noelei is a sorceress that has vowed to help any and all persons that cross her path.
