[Past]
Malaeka was once a maid to a pharaoh who's name she will not tell a soul. He was kind to her and ingored her mistakes. Sometimes they would walk for hours after he just had a meeting with the council. No one knew of their friendship which was for the best. He often wished he could find someone who was kind and thoughtful as she was of noble blood. This pained her so for she loved the Pharaoh deeply, but he would never noticed her until she was of noble birth. Then one faithful night, the Egyptian Goddess, Iris, came down to her offering a deal. A chance to be noticed by the king. Malaeka quickly accepted the deal, though had no idea what her side of it was.

The next morning, Malaeka woke up in a cart heading into the castle which was strange for she fell asleep on the floor in the small chamber she had with all the other maids. When the cart stopped moving, it was announced that she, a noble had come to visit the Pharaoh. Malaeka was over joyed. Soon as the Pharaoh set eyes on her, he vowed to make this beautiful woman his. Sure enough, after six months of toying with each other, they agreed to marry, which it was unheard of to wait so long, but the two loved each other enough to wait that long.

They had been lovers before they were married and it wasn't to long after they wed that she gave birth to their first born child, but it was kidnapped in the middle of the night. Despair broke out through out the whole kingdom, and a nation wide search was carried out, but the baby could not be found. The Pharaoh told his Queen that the gods would watch over their missing child, though Malaeka had a feeling that they were behide all of this, but she couldn't possibly tell her husband that.

One night, Malaeka was pulled out of bed by Anubis telling her it was time for her end of the deal. Kissing her forehead, she was transformed into a demonic black jackle with pure white eyes. He told her of the tasks she was to perform. She was to do the evil deeds of the gods well as the tasks they hated to perform. Every night she could transform into his body. She would drag souls down to the underworld, steal items from the Greek Gods that they stole from the Egyptian, she would send plague to a town that lost faith, and even kill nobles. Soon word of the Black Jackle spread far and wide across Egypt. Malaeka's husband began to fear for his own life, but she simply told him that demons wouldn't touch the Pharaoh for he was the god that walked the earth. He believe this and never thought of the Black Jackle again.

It had been many years now since the Pharaoh and Malaeka wed. They were still happy, they had many childern, and both ruled Egypt with an iron fist. Though one day Malaeka noticed something had changed in the Pharaoh. He wouldn't kiss her good morning, surprise her with gifts, he wouldn't skip out on meeting just to talk to her. In fact the only time she even saw him was at meals, sometimes and in bed. She figured something was bothering him and never questioned him on it. Though one day he called a meeting to her so he could spend time with her, but never bothered to showed. Sitting on the steps in the throne room, she sat sobbing. She feared her husband no longer loved her.

'I will love you,' echoed a voice. Panic rose in Malaeka as she looked around. She was no longer at the palace, but in a dark throne room lit with eerie flames along the walls. In the middle was a large bed with red silk sheets. It smelled of death. Suddenly a hand touched her shoulder. Whipping around, she came face to face with a man with hollow eyes who slowly transformed into the god that told her she had to perform the dislike deeds of the gods, Anubis. Looking up at the jackle like god, she wondered what he wanted. 'Be my mistress Queen of Egypt. Let me love you like that mortal can not. Let me be true.' he offered as he put his hand out for her to take. Malaeka said no, she would be faithful, but then Anubis showed her a sight. Her husband flirting with another woman, a woman she thought was a friend. Angered, she agreed, but once more did not ask what the price was.

Malaeka gave birth once more, but the Pharaoh said it was not his, that they hadn't slept together in ages. Malaeka said that he was drunk one night and that was the first time in ages that he had touched her. It was all a lie, but her husband bought it. He was becoming a man she was starting to hate. More and more she looked forward to the meeting she had with Anubis. He was so kind to her, so gentle, and so loving. Though Isis came out while Malaeka was in the garden and called her a fool for accepting Anubis's offer. She told Malaeka that she would never be able to get out of this that she would be forever stuck with Anubis. Malaeka didn't care, he loved her. Isis laughed and warned her that it would soon wear off like the Pharaoh's love towards her.

Ignoring Isis, Malaeka went on with life. At times her husband showed old signs of himself, but would ruin it by not showing up to things or refusing to see her at her request. At dinner with a bunch of nobles, Anubis came telling Malaeka it was time to perform more tasks. She hadn't released what time it was, it was late into the night. She was forced to transform right there in front of the council and her husband. Her husband called her a traitor, but Anubis said that was not the case. Isis came forth and turned Malaeka into her true self, the maid. The Pharaoh gasped. He knew this maid. He was best friends with this maid. He had never loved this maid. Isis said because he wouldn't give her the time of day that Malaeka was forced to make a deal with the gods to be with her true love. Though to much of everyone's surprise, Isis informed everyone in the room it wasn't the Pharaoh that her true love will show his face in 4,000 years. Then violently, Malaeka was back in her jackle form and killed everyone but the Pharaoh against her own will.

Both there thrown in a pyramid to die. The Pharaoh refused to look at her, refused to say he was sorry, refused to hear her side of the story. In his dieing breath, he told her that he was cheating on her with a good friend of theirs. He informed her that Malaeka was to old to be Queen of Egypt anymore and her beauty was fading. He was plotting to have her killed and would lie stating that she told him to marry his mistress so he would be happy. Angry Malaeka killed the Pharaoh before he could die from lack of air. With that, both of their souls were pulled to the underworld. The gods told Malaeka she had betrayed them, but she turned around and tricked the gods into giving all of their powers saying she could perform more deeds for them so they had more time to rule over the human race. Now holding all the powers of the gods, she fled from Egypt. She left her childern behide, she left the life that was all a life, she left all the pain behide.

Crossing into Germany, she took the name Stummer meaning mute. It was a name the locals gave her for she wouldn't talk to a soul. For years she ran from the gods refusing to get close to anyone. She became bitter and cold. She envied the mortals who were able to love and die young. She watched the world change into a more ugly place with each passing year. She watched friends die. She had many childern, but since they were all the first born to another man, they were stripped from her by the age of eight. It was a curse she couldn't avoid. Soon her travels took her to Japan where she met a family, though she was in a form of a mini-jackle. This family was odd for they were all kinds of creatures, angels, demons, ghosts, vampires, and ect. They were misfits, but she was nothing like them. They were still all much younger than her and able to love. Soon she met a man who hunted demons. She fell in love with him, he simply called her his lover.

Now that time has come and gone, Malaeka is left alone. A fight with the family she grew to love and care so much for, threw her out along with many others. The man she loved had disappeared after telling them he was really a demon. She has tired to look for him, has a few times. He tells her their love can not be and he couldn't possibly love a woman who changed herself for one man. Yes he was the only one who knew of her past. Angry she left him telling him if he loved her, that he would find him. One day Anubis found her and her life was turned upside down again. He was harsher than before, twisted almost. He was not the man that she feel in love with before. He told her that she betrayed him and for that he would no longer be gentle.

Now Malaeka lives alone in an apartment in some city that had no meaning to her hoping that one day the world would end and her suffering will be stopped. She doesn't talk to anyone and is rarely seen. At times Anubis comes for her, other times the gods still ask her for favors, other times she drinks herself to sleep.
