L.I.T the Rave Matter

You make your way through the crowded club...

...you notice a flash of vibrant hair reflecting off of the multi-colored strobe lights. A tall, stocky Archan is working the crowd; flipping bottles in the air and catching them upside down while pouring shots with his tail. As you walk closer, the crowd around the bar begins to dissipate, giving you a chance to work your way to the counter. You lean forward on the bar, preparing to shout out your order over the heavy bass, but the second you open your mouth you get cut off-

"Don't say it!", shouts the lively Archan as he grabs a bottle off of the shelf. "I know what you need!" he says with a smirk.

He pours a little bit of clear liquid into a glass of ice while balancing a bottle on the bottom of his elbow. With a boisterous laugh, he tosses the bottle in the air and turns it upside down, splashing a toxic-green liquid into the glass. With his giant paws (which somehow easily cradle a teaspoon), he drips a thick, blood-like liquid over the back of the spoon and into the drink. The red layer gently blends into the green and bubbles, making it resemble a lava lamp.

"This is my specialty- the Witches Apple. Good name, huh?" he says as he pushes the drink toward you. "Go on, try it!"

You look down at the concoction hesitantly and think to yourself I don't want to be rude, he is the bartender after all... You lift the drink up in a salute and knock it back with one quick gulp. A rush of green apple hits your senses- it's delicious! But suddenly, a sour, pungent taste creeps back up your throat, causing you to gag a bit and stick your tongue out in disgust. The bartender throws his thick mane back in laughter, one giant paw holding his stomach.

"Oh MAN that looked rough!! Hasn't anyone ever told you not to trust strangers!?" He let out a sigh as he rested his paws on the counter-top, flashing his pearly white teeth.

"I'm sorry, I just love making new drinks and trying them out on different people. Trust me, this job can get repetitive real quick, so you got to spice things up sometimes. I'll tell you what- that drink is on the house, but if you're feeling brave later, you come on back here and just ask for me, Raquann."

You nod in thanks, trying to look pleasant or at least remotely appreciative over the free drink, but the strange aftertaste in your mouth is still messing up your smile. You give an awkward wave and wander back onto the dance floor, only to crash into your friend who has been looking for you.

"Hey!" she yells over the crowd. "Look at that Archan doing tricks behind the bar! Let's go!!" she exclaims while pointing behind you.

Your stomach lurches and you quickly shake your head. "I think I'm fine... but let's get you something, it's your birthday after all.." you say slyly, beginning to push your friend towards the bar.

"A special one, for the birthday girl!" you yell over to Raquann. He looks up at you and winks, he knows JUST the thing...
