"Hey, come back here!" It wasn't a phrase Calian was unfamiliar with, living on the streets even at a young age. With the scrap of food in his mouth, he jumped at the alley wall and skillfully pushed off, using his less than large wings to get just enough air to land on the roof of a building, one of the many in Centropolis. Calian settled in, proud of his find. Unfortunately the girl he'd took the food with had somehow followed him and found him before he could eat. He expected the girl, who had strange, bright eyes, to attempt to take her food back. He bared his teeth, but she simply sat down next to him, pulling out another scrap with a smirk on her face. "You didn't think you could outsmart a fellow thief, did you?" She asked him. She shared what little food she had left with Calian, and he decided he liked her. It created the tightest bond between them, a bond that still holds true today.
