The first taste of blood, of slaughter, of death. He felt exhilarated, and he let out a gleeful laugh. The slave had perished without a fight. It's crumpled body lay battered and bloody on the floor. He needed more pain and misery... more suffering. He kept the poor creature's spirit locked away in the castle where its feeble cries couldn't be heard by anyone but him. He reveled in the slave's suffering. How cold it was. How sad and alone. Why had its master betrayed it by killing him so?

Then one day it happened... that horrible wretched feeling: guilt. How his host could feel that kind of foolish emotion was beyond his understanding. He had control now, and he wasn't going to give up this power. Little did he know he didn't have a choice...

He was forced into the dark recesses of his host's mind. This banishment wasn't very long... but it was long enough for the stupid magic user to cast a spell that forced himself into another body. Not wanting to be trapped along side the mage in such a useless state, the being of darkness forcefully separated himself and he manifested as a black winged monster. Freed from his host's body, he flew unhindered into the world to cause as much death and destruction as he desired.
