Blacklight Priggle
It's not easy being a soot ball.
You'd think that it would be. I mean, look at me. I'm a tiny little black ball of what looks a lot like fluff (though, ahem, isn't), and I have a pretty major craving for sugar stars. I'm pretty much made of adorable. No one could ever even argue that. Go ahead try it.
Impossible, right?
But it's hard work, too, you know. It isn't all looking cute and stuffing my face with candy. Some of it is actually tough. I mean, there's the fact that my entire existence depends on actually working, because if I don't, I'll turn to, well... soot dust.
It's okay, though. I've never really come close to being turned to nothing, even though that's always a possibility. For the most part there is always something I can do, if not for myself then for others.
Sometimes, when messes happen, I clean them up and make everything all tidy. Sometimes I work with others of my kind to move heavy objects, or to deliver things like coal to those who need them. Between those things alone there's always something to be done!
All in all it's actually a pretty busy, occasionally strenuous life I have. I mean, considering that I literally live to serve, I'm always up to something, and there's very little downtime in between tasks. But I don't mind! Helping out is what I do best.
Hey I'll even help you... if you give me a sugar star!
