Hi! I'm Baking and I just love to bake! I'm pretty much modeled after Ellie's obsession with baking. I have a very large treasure chest, as you can see. I am trying to collect the tasty baked goods of Subeta! That's a daunting task, but as long as Ellie's vault will hold out, I will continue to search for those tempting treats.. I'll also add baking supplies, tarts, pastries, various cookies, and other things that strike my fancy.

I've decided to share Ellie's late grandmother's apple pie recipe. It's one that's very near and dear to Ellie's heart, so feel privileged!
Mema's Apple Pie
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 apple pie seasoning
pinch of salt
2 large eggs
3 medium Red Delicious Apples, peeled and grated (I grate mine with a cheese grater.)
1 unbaked deep-dish pie shell
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a large bowl, beat together the sugar, butter, flour, vanilla, cinnamon, salt and eggs with a hand mixer on medium speed. Beat until combined. Fold in the shredded apples carefully. Pour mixture into the unbaked pie shell. Bake for 55-60 minutes. Let cool one hour before serving.
Seriously.. ONE HOUR. If you get in too much of a hurry, the filling pools everywhere. It's also very tasty straight out of the fridge.. like say if you're eating it for breakfast. It's okay, we don't judge here. :)
