Profile
No matter gay, straight, or bi,
My first introduction to Lady Gaga was hearing Just Dance on the radio. But it wasn’t until I heard Poker Face the first time that I was truly hooked. Since then I’ve been a big fan of this very special artist, who definitely has a very personal way of expressing herself.
I like a lot of her songs so there will be quite a few songs that will be honorable mentions. So, let’s get to naming them all: Alice, Stupid Love, Fun Tonight, 911, Plastic Doll, Sour Candy, Enigma, Replay, G.U.Y., MANiCURE, Swine, Donatella, Applause, Marry the Night, Judas, Americano, Bloody Mary, Highway Unicorn (Road To Love), Million Reasons, John Wayne, A-Yo, Heavy Metal Lover, Electric Chapel, Yoü And I, Speechless, Dance In the Dark, So Happy I Could Die, Teeth, Just Dance, Love Game, Eh, Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say), The Fame, Starstruck, Boys Boys Boys, Paper Gangsta, I Like It Rough, Summerboy and Perfect Illusion. While I like all of these songs they just can’t compare to the ones that I have on my top ten list.Lesbian, transgendered life,
In tenth place we have Money Honey. This to me is just a fun and very typical sounding song from Gaga’s repertoire. Nice beat and a good energy to it.
Next up we have Beautiful, Dirty, Rich which honestly is on the list for the exact same reasons as the previous one. I think the only reason that it’s placing higher on my list is because there’s more of a range to her voice in this one. And more feeling.
In eighth place we have Bad Kids. This song has great energy and beat, but on top of that it also has great lyrics. And I really like the inclusion of a bit of a rock-ier sound.
Next on my list we have Paparazzi. This is another one with great lyrics. And ever since the death of Princess Diana it’s ever so accurate as well. Especially the music video. And speaking of the video I have to say that I love that Alexander Skarsgård is in it.
Time for a much newer one in sixth place, Rain On Me. Now this one is just pure fun for me. I love the music and the sound. Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande sound amazing in it. And I honestly don’t care about the lyrics in it that much even though I love singing along to it. And I’m honestly just glad to have Gaga go back to her usual style of music again.
And so we move on to the song in fifth place on my list, Hair. I love the sound of this one and the lyrics. But I’m also a sucker for saxophones so the bits in this one that I love the most are when you can hear the saxophone. The beat is also very infectious in this song.
On to fourth place, and here we have Poker Face. A true classic among Lady Gaga’s songs and I still very much love it. It’s got a great beat and sound to it. And it has a good underlying message, in addition to just being fun to listen to and to sing along to.
In third place we have Bad Romance which to me is as classic when it comes to Gaga’s repertoire as the previous one. To me this one edges out Poker Face with it’s lyrics though which is why it is higher on my list. And I love the overall sound of this song. I also feel like the music video really helped to establish her as Mother Monster.
Now, in second place we have The Edge of Glory. Considering what I wrote about saxophones earlier I think you can guess what part of this song that is my favorite. And you would be accurate. That is my favorite bit, but I also love the rest of it. The fact that it has a bit more of a rock feel to it, and a drive helps to put it this high on my list. And I also like the lyrics.
Allright, there can only be one at the top and for me it is hands down always going to be Born This Way. There is no competition. It’s got a great beat and overall sound to it. But it is the lyrics that makes this song place this high on my list. Ever since I heard it for the first time I have loved it. And my absolute favorite part of it is the bridge at the end, which is why I included the first part of it as the quote to break up this text.I'm on the right track baby,
For me Lady Gaga represents freedom. Freedom to be exactly who you are, no matter what other people might think. What matters is that you are true to yourself. Otherwise you will never be able to find true happiness in life. She isn’t afraid to challenge any form of established norm that society has. Plus, her music is a lot of fun.
The fact that she stands up for LGBTQ+ and anyone that stands out or is an outcast in society just makes me all the more proud to count myself among her fans ♥️I was born to survive.
