Designing cars is more than a hobby or even a career. It is her driving passion.

Her fascination started almost from the moment of birth. As a baby, she would sit contentedly in her bouncer as her father served the needs of customers from all over Centropolis. Or she might zoom up and down the aisles of her uncle's automotive parts store, pausing every now and then to name parts most adults would be stumped by. She got her first set of toy wrenches when she was only three. Her father would roar with laughter whenever she went at the huge lug nuts on a piece of construction equipment as if her little plastic wrench was going to dismantle a metal bolt taller than she was.

His laughter was never unkind, though. He loved that she took such an interest in his work and would let her sit and watch him work for hours, explaining every little detail about spark plugs, fuel injectors and the best engine fluid based on the type of engine. As her hand-eye coordination improved, she'd be given bins of hardware parts from the suppliers and she happily sorted every bolt, washer and nut into their proper drawers.

When most teenage tigreans were reading up on fashions and Subeta's favorite celebrities, she was reading up on auto trends and staying up-to-date on the latest innovations in assembly and application of custom parts. Going to the annual Subetan Auto Show was a favored father-daughter activity.

She zipped through her college years, earning an Associate's in engineering, a Bachelor's in automotive design and a Master's in industrial design. She interned at a design firm where she really learned the ins and outs not only of the industry, but of how some customers are lured by the sleek and alluring while others will always be sold on the tough and practical. Succeeding in business is as much about knowing the customer in front of you as being an expert in the products you sell.

She built on her father's business and made it her own until she had the most popular automotive design shop in the tri-city area.

When she enters a project, she can get lost for hours in the details of the design she's working on. Her customers have learned to make good use of the in-box just inside the front door. She's in the habit of checking her messages whenever she goes out to lunch or to pick up a round of parts. Trying to get an answer out of her when she's focused will almost inevitably result in caveman-style grunts.

If asked to choose her favorite build, she would have to say the Lamborghini. She wants a car that's sleek and fast and takes no nonsense from anybody. She loves the rumble of a well-tuned engine and has trained herself to be able to recognize make and model from the sound an engine makes while wearing a blindfold.

There's no mechanical issue she can't troubleshoot. She gets truly upset when a once-beautiful machine is neglected and left to rust. When she sees a particularly nice sports car sitting abandoned, she has been known to approach the owner with a handsome offer. She fixes these beauties to look and work like brand new. Most are reluctantly sold to other car enthusiasts, though she has half a dozen that are her particular loves and that she will never sell.

Her house has almost more garage space than floor space for the more mundane parts of life. Her dear minion Ferrari has the run of the place and has been trained to recognize the smells of gas or oil. If ever there is a leak, he will bring it to her attention the moment she walks in the door so she can see to the needs of the engine in trouble. She has a room designated to her state-of-the-art computer that contains the best auto design software on the market. Even when she is at home, she never truly stops working.

Sometimes she even designs cars in her dreams.
