James stood in the kitchen, waiting for the water in the kettle to heat up while his focus was on the book in his hands, the title reading 'Poisonous plants of India'. The book had seen its fair share of reading sessions considering the wear and tear that was visible on the out- and inside. Flipping to the next page James leaned comfortable against the kitchen counter, mind a million miles away.
In his imagination he was wandering through New Delhi, the streets filled with people busy to vend, buy or get to another location, tourists taking photos of everything while trying to decide if they were brave enough to try out one of the meals the food stalls in the market area provided. He saw himself sitting with locals at a table in front of one of the tiny restaurants, sipping his tea while watching people pass by, enjoying the colors, the scents and sounds of the bustling city.
At times James fell victim to this tugging, to return to the land he had named his own 'Wonderland' but whenever he looked into the mirror he'd see that long scar across his chest and abdomen, reminding him of how drastically things had changed in the end. And now he was back in London and-
The whistling of the kettle interrupted his further dwelling on this topic as he waited a moment before pouring the hot but not boiling water over the dried tea leaves. Waiting for the tea to steep he felt his mobile buzz in the pocket of his trousers, taking it out to read the message.

Chuckling a bit James decided to not reply until he had finished his tea. After all tea time was something sacred. And then he'd leave his flat and be swallowed by the bustling city of London to help his brother with whatever task he had in store for him...
