Believe it or not, Elidi used to be one of the most beautiful angels in Heaven. She had fire red hair, with radiating orange wings. Her sister, Faithe, was just as beautiful. The two went everywhere together. Their journeys on Earth often involved healing the sick, since that was Faithe's job. One of their journeys ended up in the two angels bringing a couple of puppies back up to heaven with them. The two couldn't bear to watch the puppies suffer once their mother had died, so they brought them back! Elidi's new guardian was called Shadow. He was pitch black with some red markings, with the deepest black eyes. Faithe called hers Courage, of course. Her guardian was a light beige color with pink markings. A few years went by, and Faithe was eventually chosen by God to be the Archangel of Healing. Elidi didn't care at first, as she and her sister were very close. But afte a while, Elidi got bored. She didn't have the special abilities that Faithe had. She was supposed to wait on God before she could use any powers.Many years went by, and Elidi continued to put up with the situation. She had no other choice, really. She loved her sister too dearly to hurt her in any way. And she knew that abandoning her would devastate her sister. But the more that she went out with Faithe on her journeys to heal the sick, the more that she grew angry. She didn't want to heal all of those stupid humans, she wanted to cause them pain. She thought that if she could push all of the pain that she felt onto these humans, maybe she could finally be happy.
Finally, Elidi grew the courage to give it a try. During one of their adventures on earth, Faithe went off to go see one of her old blind friends in hopes of healing him. Elidi told her that she couldn't bear to see her sister fail, as this was beyond the her ability. Healing a sickness was one thing, but healing the ability to see? Nobody thought she could do it. So Elidi wandered through the city, looking for her first victim. She looked down at Shadow, who was walking along side her, and told him to stay put so that he wouldn't have to watch.
She was about to give up and turn back, when she found the perfect victim. An old man was trying to steal gold from a lady while she was attending to her wretched crying child. Elidi's eyes turned bright red, and suddenly her brilliant orange wings turned black. She looked at her new wings, and flew over to the man. He was so startled that he dropped the gold all over the ground and fell over. The woman grabbed her child and stepped back, watching Elidi walk towards the thief.
Elidi picked up the old man with one hand, and her eyes started flickering like flames. The old man burst into tears as if he knew how this would turn out. Elidi whispered "you deserve this" to the old man, and he soon began bleeding from his eyes. His wails filled the city, and Faithe flew over. She stopped dead in her tracks when she realized what her sister was doing. Elidi threw the man across the court yard, where he knocked over a food stand and was soon buried in fruit. Elidi looked at her sister, who was frozen with shock, and had no idea what to say to her. The two stood staring at each other for quite some time, before Faithe began to cry. She left Elidi behind, with a crowd full of terrified people.
Elidi knew that she would never be allowed back into Heaven after this. She just couldn't help how powerful and happy that this made her feel. She had been belittled by her sister's powers for hundreds of years. She wouldn't want to go back to that even if she could. She had finally realized her purpose, and no one was going to get in her way. She flew back to Shadow, who's eyes had changed from their dark black shade to a fiery red much like Elidi's. Shadow barked excitedly and flew into the air to join Elidi. The two flew to the fiery depths of Hell, where they met up with some of Elidi's old acquaintances who had also become fallen angels. They were quick to accept her new ways, and welcomed her as a fallen angel. Elidi was never second best to anyone down there. She was free to cause whatever chaos she wanted.
