Private schools, dinner parties and an army of domestic servants; this was Ferris' life before he fled his home and country.

The duke of a young nation, he was to be named the official heir of the throne at sixteen after his aging uncle failed to produce one of his own. It wasn't what he wanted, however, and the selfish wishes of a teenager as well as a great deal of family stress prompted the nobleman to flee the very day of his announcement ceremony.

It was months later that he found himself on a small island halfway across the world, carelessly using his powers to aid the captain of the cargo ship that had carried him all that way. It was a talent he wouldn't dare have exposed at home, where such things were approached with suspicion at best, but surely not all the world was so close-minded...

The teen was, unfortunately, correct in this assumption, and was instead seen by a collector of Empowered, of sorts, who was there by no coincidence. The man's name was Arcade; a man who turned out to be the don of the most powerful syndicate in the city- so powerful, in fact, that his authority currently surpassed that of any legal officials.

Arcade recognized Ferris for who he was and captured and blackmailed him into working for him as part of his elite force. For several months the nobleman fought the don and the men who worked for him until a particularly violent disagreement urged the teen to shift his position. Since that day he's been working with, rather than against Arcade, becoming one of his most personally faithful employees. The change in attitude wasn't felt by the rest of Arcade's agents, however; as Ferris' experience and loyalty rose, so did his power within the group and the now-captain soon purged the team of all those he had conflict with.

Times were good, albeit busy in the year or two that followed, but recent accidents and additions have now left the teen wondering if these changes have been a blessing in disguise or if he should resume his old tactics of "thinning the herd".
