Take Heed non-believers,
the end of the world is at hand!

Take heed non-believers,
and I'll tell you a tale.
With a shimmer and shake,
of my fine frill and tail.

For years I warned,
to the crowds I called out.
Of the end that was coming,
it was all met with doubt.

So sit and listen,
to the words I sing out.
It might save your life,
if the end comes about.

Minding my own,
way back in my youth.
That's when the first sign hit,
in the shape of a stone.

Not granite or quartz,
pebbles found on the ground.
This came from above,
where more would rain down.

I heeded them all,
gather yourselves and hide!
But they thought it a joke,
a good prank, a fine lie.

I was the butt of their tease,
but soon they would know.
The ending of our world,
in a shower of stones....

...now its just me,
and those few who would listen,
all crammed in this cave,
all still, all whispering.

Rumbles and Roars,
the ground finally stilled,
and the sky returned,
from the black rain that fell.

So listen well,
when your old kin calls out.
So blind, so proud,
the sky may yet fall again!

And you might not be here,
to continue the tell.
