The wand chooses the Wizard ....what a load of rubbish Garrick Ollivander comes up with. Those silly people believing that a wand can pick its new owner. *sigh* And all this nonsense about there only being three Supreme Cores for wands - what tosh!
My customers know better: I can create a wand from their favourite wood, and they frequently enter my shop with a particular choice of core, whether it's a hair from a Veela relative, or maybe a tail hair from a Unicorn they came across in the forest. But of course those items on their own would just lead to a mediocre wand.
Sometimes the wood chosen by my customers can result in a strange wand, such as the one I recently created for a young witch. She had chosen Hawthorn for her wand wood, and generally that results in a wand that is so complex, many other wandmakers avoid using it; if a Hawthorn wand owner casts a spell incorrectly, the spell is likely to backfire. But I digress, you aren't here for a lecture on wand woods, of course. Although if the aubject does interest you, then you might like to sign up for my talk on the success of Gregorovitch Wands and the woods that go into them, on Saturday night at the local hall? No? Well maybe you might change your mind after I create your wand of choice.
The true success of a Gregorovitch wand.... is a secret. Well, I wouldn't want you going and telling all those other wandmakers of the reason for my success, would I? But, I can tell you that I've been researching a particularly special wand, and have encorporated the finer detail and magical qualities into the wands I create.
Rumours have been flying faster than an owl on an express postal delivery, but the rumour mill has given me a greater share of custom. After all, every Wizard out there, including yourself no doubt, would think they could only dream of owning a wand based on the ultimate unbeatable wand; the Deathstick. But it isn't only a dream; not now. The rumours are correct for once, as it is the deathstick that I have spent many years studying, and now I can add those special features into my own Gregorovitch creation wands.
Of course, none of them will hold the truly unbeatable quality of the Deathstick, and certainly not all of them will be made of Elder, but they will contain a higher quality than any other wand.
What was that? No of course I will not be disclosing the nature of my posession of the Deathstick, sufice to say that it now does my bidding, and is a remarkably unbeatable wand. I challenged a childhood friend to a duel last week, purely for research purposes you understand, and won with the simplest of spells combined with a little Bat-Bogey hex. My friend might not have been impressed, but it highlighted to me the particular details of the Deathstick, allowing me to enhance my own wand creations with my increased knowledge.
In fact, trade has picked up since those rumours started, and if it continues in this vein, then I will not only be the most successful wandmaker in Germany, but I will easily sell more wands than Ollivander this year, making me the most prolific wandmaker in the world. After all, with the Deathstick, surely one is unbeatable?

Harry Potter References:
Based on Gregorovitch from the Harry Potter books by JK Rowling, when he owns the Elder Wand (which was later stolen from him). I've assumed that Gregorovitch worked in Germany at some point at least, as the sign seen in the Deathly Hallows film says Gregorovitch Zauberstäbe which is German for Gregorovitch Wands.
All references to the Harry Potter world, including quotations, belong to JK Rowling. A lot of the detailed information on wands was learnt at Pottermore
