Lisa Mariko Oak is a kind and well-mannered girl most of the time, but anyone who met her could tell you that underneath it all that she could be very different.
She was born in Ecruteak City to Natsume and Charles Oak, and was soon moved to Pallet Town to be closer to her extended family while her mother and father worked.
At a young age she found that she could understand more about pokemon and the world around her than most. She decided very quickly that she wanted to explore the world that she heard about in so many stories and find out more about it. She wanted to travel and learn about all the places, and pokemon the world had to offer, like her father and grandfather before her. She also wanted to learn more about herself, her gift, and how she could help others.
Her Grandfather, the great Professor Oak only encouraged this, and Lisa rapidly grew up to become a handful. She set off soon at the age of eight to explore Kanto, and soon after Johto and the rest of the world followed. She discovered many things, like her favorite weather was the rain, because it nourished the life of the forests and plains and the colors that followed when the sun came out once again always made her happy. And that she enjoyed climbing to the highest branches of the trees because of the view around them. And so much more than that.

Now seventeen, her love of pokemon has never faltered giving her a great many companions and friends. She often found herself taking in injured or abandoned pokemon giving them a loving home and a trainer they could count on, but her closest companion had to be her Pikachu, Princess. This pokemon was given to her by her parents on her third birthday as an egg, the pokemon would quickly hatch and become her playmate, her best friend and closer to that of a sister to the girl. They are never far apart, even when times become hard and Lisa must fight for everything she believes in and holds dear.
