Ah, come in, come in. Welcome to my bar. I am Okiri. What may I get you?
Just one moment while I mix that.
Here you are. Ah, you want to know what makes my bar so special? Well, all of my drinks are non-alcoholic. Yes, even that delightful one you have there. I know, you would hardly believe it, would you? See, in my career as a bartender, I saw many pets around Subeta becoming rather ... overly dependent on alcohol. Many would come and drink in an attempt to erase their problems. They would drink until they became quite ill. Some of them had to go to Rachelle, in the Underground, to get new livers implanted. Quite a painful ordeal, I hear.
I decided, much to my sorrow, that I could no longer have a business that caused such harm to the lovely pets of Subeta. But, how could I give up my art of drink and cocktail mixing? I had trained in it my whole life, and was proud of my talent. We Jollins are skilled in these fine arts of food and drink.
So, it came to me - why not use my gift to develop drinks with no alcohol, which are just as exquisite, just as tempting as the alcoholic variety? So delightful that you could still use them to wash away the problems of a day, but without the harm. I practiced until I could recreate the taste and feel of every variety of wine, beer, and liquor perfectly.
Add the calm, soothing atmosphere I cultivate in my establishment, along with my ability to converse with my patrons about their struggles ... it worked! I was overjoyed. Now my customers can drink all they want, no liver replacements necessary, no hangovers, no dependency on my products. Along with my little bird Amy here, who fills the room with her cheerful song, it is a wonderful and healthy way to forget your troubles.
Well, I have talked enough now. It is supposed to be my job to listen to you. How was your day? Can I get you another drink?
I do hope you come back again, my friend. It was wonderful to meet you.
