Oren enjoyed visiting the inn in the valley on the evenings that it rained. The innkeeper had two young children that loved to hear his stories. Oren would ask for tea, then ask for an ale, and then he and the children would gather 'round the fireplace with stories to be told.
"Oren," the youngest child, a boy, pulled lightly on Oren's feathers. "Why do you look like a bird?"
"Whhyyyy, that would be a marvelous story to tell." Oren started every story this way. "Would you like to hear it?"
The children always nodded without hesitation.
