In the beginning, there were the gods, creatures of ancient times that existed far beyond anything a mortal could comprehend. But as they drew breath, so did the world breathe with them.

And as they looked upon what they had created, marveling at their power, a collective thought came to the surface. To record all that they had done, all that they would, they needed a vessel to hold the very history of the new world. A being that would never age or grow old, that would remember the past. Even when the gods themselves would fall into decay and vanish.

And so I was born, from each of them they breathed life into me. Never old, never young, I knew I would never be understood so I built a maze to shield the moral world from my studies. I filled my shelves with the history of each being that came and went and each day went by as the one before.

The future, ah the future was more tricky. Always changing, turning, twisting back upon itself. Paths split into thousands only to return to one again. But there were those fool hearty who still came to me for answers, despite the warnings I gave them and for a long time I was content with the task that was given to me.

But now.... things have changed. I have been exposed to something I wasnt prepared for, emotions I have only seen from a distance and my eyes can not see the future as clearly as they once did.
