The ceremony will take place in two days. What I am told is I am about to inherit the most prestigious empire in Eastern history, in economic, political, military and cultural terms. My father was the longest reigning pharaoh, he was in government for 66 years until his death two months ago. He received the title of "firstborn son of the king" (which is, the heir to the throne) by general Horemebe, the last pharaoh of the XVIII dinasty. He had a long career in the military academy, became a prestigious leader at a young age, which all gave him an expansionist and conquering tendency in politics.

As it is usual, I have been in reclusion in the palace for the past forty days with the generals, learning about war policy, and with parliamentarians, learning about economic policy. This seemed superfluous and ritualistic, since my father had already taught me what a good ruler means for a kingdom, if not by word, by example.

The Sand Palace, as is known the Ten-amen Palace, is located in the region of the fertile plains where the waters of the Kateschr Canal meets with those of the Ament River. The proximity of rivers gave the region a fortunate position as a trading post. During my father's reign he encouraged trade with western cities, and luxury goods like silk, turquoises and wine became more frequent among the kingdom's noble class. Meanwhile the construction of temples and tombs has moved the economy as a whole.

My father is also known for protecting the kingdom from constant internal and external political-religious wars that led to instability during decades. He built fortifications on Amenmerusarkon borders and mobilized troops. It was only after the death of my mother, Nefertari, the most celebrated of my father's wives, that he became recluse and the expansionist policy stabilized.

I'm the firstborn of the XIX dynasty, and it is now in my hands to maintain the grandeur of Amenmerusarkon and live up to my father's name. Luckily, two days from now, for the next 66 years.

This is a wide chamber and heavily decorated with gold. The walls are written in hieroglyphs in gold and copper. The focus lines of the room converge on a large stone tomb in the center. This is the tomb of Ramessés, the fisrt of it's name - Qar's father. He was responsible for making Amenmerusarkon influential over all the other east kingdoms, before absorbing them completely as part of its territory.

There is an aroma of incense in the air. On the back wall there is an immense drawn female figure, with well-outlined eyes and very black hair, its tips wrapped in small, golden accessories. She is wearing an Egyptian crown with the design of a snake in the middle. She is Nefertari, the most renowned of Qar's wifes. She was known in life for great intelligence, including military. She had been with Qar for almost his entire life.

You notice that right after entering the chamber, on the wall to your left, there is a door outlined in the rock. Is it a secret passage? You try, but there is no way to open it.

You notice that right after entering the chamber, on the wall to your left, there is a door outlined in the rock. Is it a secret passage? You read out loud the ancient Arabic words written on the parchment you got from the market - and the door slides open.

The room consists of two interconnected chambers. The tomb in the middle of the first chamber is made of marble, and fresh flowers are arranged over it. Did someone just come by? This is the tomb of Hatusilli, the first daughter of Qar. She was captured at age of two during the second invasion of Amenmerusarkon, became a prisoner for seventeen years until she was released during the Maathorneferuré government. He didn't know they were related, and there was a rumor at the time that he was in love with her.

The back wall is made of a very solid rock, but there seems to be the outline of a door drawn there. You wonder if there is any way to get through that wall.

You use your Archaeologist Excavation Kit to clear the back wall. You can now pass through it.

You enter the chamber and feel terrified. The tomb lid moves slowly, there is something - alive - down there. A hand grips the edge of the gelid stone, slowly and silently, the torch lights go out, and you find yourself in pitch. You decide to go back and return to the chamber when you are ready to deal with a mummy.

You enter the chamber and the tomb lid moves slowly, there is a mummy there. You take the Abandoned Perfume Bottle you got from the market out of your bag and pour it through the camera. The torches rise and everything is silent and still again. You look at the room carefully: this is Qar's tomb - there's a drawing of him in the back wall.

You found a Syllabary. You can use it to translate hieroglyphs on the journal. Click on it to grab it!

The room is small and almost entirely occupied by a black soapstone tomb with white ballast. Here lies Empress Merneptá, the second daughter of Pharaoh Qar - the most beautiful and wisest of Nefertari's heirs. She lived only the good years of her youth at court, because she died at the age of twenty-five. She had been coveted as a wife by rulers of all five great eastern kingdoms, but she married a commoner, who became the happiest of men for a few short years.

This is the anteroom of the chambers where lie the three sons of Pharaoh Qar. The walls are written in different hieroglyphs when compared to those of other chambers, perhaps from another era. On the back wall, there is a window to a small child's tomb - it's Qar's first child, who died during the first invasion of Amenmerusarkon.

This is the chamber where the tomb of Maathorneferuré, the firstborn of Qar, is located. Maathorneferuré was known for strict economic policy, contradictory military policies and many wives. He had more than seventeen children in life. His government was short, since at the age of twenty-nine he was murdered by his fourth son, an ambitious and arrogant man with pretensions for the throne.

This is the tomb of Menkaure, the second son of Qar. He was a handsome and charming man, interested in political life. He engaged in Qar's endeavors to conquer the kingdoms of the east. He became protector of the territories annexed in the wars, and ruled with an iron fist. Towards the end of his life, he was responsible for suppressing separatists uprisings in the provinces.
