Life Excerpt

The battle was raging all around him. Like his fellow samurais Sasuke swung his katana with deadly accuracy. The guards at this castle were no real fighters. But what they lacked in skill they made up for in sheer numbers. This lord sure seemed to have a lot of guards. These thoughts were planting seeds of doubt in his mind. No one was supposed to have known about the attack. Yet it seemed like they had been preparing for just that, an attack. He was brought back to reality when his current opponent lunged at him. Sasuke stepped aside right at the last second and then proceeded to cut his enemy's head clean off. The noises that had been surrounding him was dying down and as he looked around he could see that they'd won. Some of his comrades had been killed but most of them were still alive.

The building was burning. The others wanted to leave now that the fight was over but Sasuke convinced them to look around to make sure that there were no stragglers. And to help any trapped servants.
He went through a door to his right and started to look through the rooms on that side of the castle. There was a low creaking noise behind him and Sasuke spun around just in time for his blade to meet the one that had been brought down in an attempt to kill him. Blow after blow was raining down on him and Sasuke was having difficulty keeping up. This guy was lightning fast, and was actually managing to draw blood on several occasions. Sasuke was about to succumb when he got a lucky break. A piece of the burning ceiling dropped down on his opponent, distracting him. It only lasted a couple of seconds but it created enough of an opening for Sasuke to deal a killing blow.

-"Sensei! Are you in here?" One of the lower ranking soldiers peaked into the room. "Ah! There you are, sensei." Sasuke slashed the air to get the blood off of his katana before sheathing it.
-"What is it?" The young soldier bowed to him.
-"We have checked the rest of the building, and there are no survivors left." After a few seconds he added. "Oh, and we helped any remaining servants. So they are all in safety." He looked at the man on the floor. "Are we ready to leave yet, sensei?" Sasuke looked behind him at a door.
-"You go ahead and start moving. I've got one last room to check." He indicated the door with his thumb. "I'll catch up with you." The young soldier bowed again and this time Sasuke reciprocated. Once he was alone again Sasuke unsheathed his blade once more, then walked up to the door. As he started to open it he could see that it was pretty dark in there. The fire behind him was gradually lighting it up the more he opened the door.

Barely making a sound he slowly moved into the room. When he reached the middle of the floor he stood there. Watching. Waiting. Nothing happened. But just as he was about to turn around an leave there was a sound to his left. Someone had moved. Sasuke quickly turned and leaped towards the sound. At the last second he halted his blade. This was no soldier. He had almost killed an innocent person. He looked at the person before him. They were turned away from him, shielding themselves with their arms. All he could see were beautiful golden locks of hair. As his eyes wandered downwards he noticed that the body was covered in short light blue fur. He realized that the person before him wasn't wearing much at all. Pretty much a loincloth and some jewelry. Sasuke could feel his cheeks grow warmer.

Then the person started to turn towards him and lower their arms. Sasuke felt as if his jaw had dropped, and he was all too aware that he was staring. But before him stood not a woman as he'd thought. Instead there was a man. He was almost shocked at the sensations he felt in his body right now. He realized that he thought the man before him was one of the most beautiful people he'd ever seen. And the sheer state of undress was affecting him in ways no man ever had. To Sasuke's horror he was actually getting aroused just by letting his eyes wander.
-"Are...are you going to hurt me?" Sasuke had been stuck in his own mind and the sudden question brought him back to reality.
-"What?, no...No, I'm not going to hurt you." He sheathed his blade once more. It was clear that the young man was relieved. "We should leave. The building's going to burn to the ground, and I would prefer not to be in it when that happens." The young man nodded and started to walk towards the door. "'re going like that?" Sasuke looked around to see if he could find any clothes. The young-ling turned and looked at him.
-"Like what?" He seemed genuinely confused.
-"Well, aren't you going know...get dressed?" The young man chuckled.
-"Oh. Well, no. This is all I have, I'm afraid." He turned towards the door again and gave Sasuke a wink over his shoulder. Sasuke felt a sudden wave of heat rush over him, shook his head and then followed the young man.

When they got outside they stopped. The young man seemed a bit unsure of what to do now and looked around a little. Sasuke cleared his throat which made his new acquaintance turn his head towards him so fast that his corkscrew locks flew. For a few seconds there Sasuke was quite sure he'd seen fear in those golden eyes. He chose to ignore that fact.
-"I don't even know your name..."
-"I'm Miko." Sasuke smiled.
-"Hello, Miko. I'm Sasuke." He bowed towards Miko. The response he got was a lovely laughter. He looked up at him and smiled before straightening his back again. "You should definitely laugh more often."
-"Hm, keep this up and I will." Miko gave him a more seductive smile before adding. "And, play your cards right and you can expect an even better reward than just my mirth..." The rush of heat hit Sasuke once more along with the feelings of arousal.
