Swordfish, an old name given to him during his first time in prison, stepped out from the steel prison gates as the guard swung the door open. He glanced at the guard then continued walking until he heard the gate close behind him. He shook his head and started walking to the nearest bus stop. He had just spent a nickel in the state prison for theft, and was itching to get back out on the water.

He had spent many of his years out on various fishing and salvage vessels; he even did some work on an oil rig for a while.
