"This isn't what I asked for," she growled. Though quiet, her voice rumbled through your body and made your hairs stand on end. Like the quiet calm before a storm, the air felt tense. The charge prickled at the Tigrean's wispy cirrus fur, causing waves of static to ripple over her body. Calling her fur gray would be akin to calling the sky blue. You wouldn't be wrong, but it also wouldn't convey the complex range of hues and shades of color it could produce.

The courier simply gave a semblance of a shrug before taking its leave, too busy to concern itself with the Tigrean's displeasure. With a heavy sigh, she flicked her eyes back towards you, evaluating her prey. After a moment, she broke the silence, "Well? What sins have you committed to end up before me?" ... She chuckled wryly at your reply. "Well, it's not my place to judge you. No, there are others more suited for that task. To be honest, I don't even want to do my job." She turned away from you, and began to tend to something. Out of her judging gaze, you finally remember to breathe. This part of the garden was a stark contrast to the luscious greenery you entered from. The ground was no longer the rich soil but of dry small pebbles, many of which have crumbled away to sand. However, despite the assumptions of a barren desert, the ground around you and the Tigrean was teeming with life.
