The original Verdugo, Spanish for "Executioner," is the result of human experimentation with Las Plagas parasite. There have only been two known in existence. Two were killed by the U.S. government agent Leon S. Kennedy. The horrors of Las Plagas may have ended for Leon Kennedy, but not for the residents of Subeta
How Las Plagas came to Subeta is unknown. It is speculated that Calvin Blackmoon bought a sample of the parasite off of the Hustler but the Hustler denies such claims. Euclid was tricked into injecting Las Plagas into a common endeavor.
"It's a new breed of endeavor." Calvin explains calmly, "Nothing to be concerned about. I'm sure the other species will have the chance to be converted soon." Little did Euclid know of the nightmare he helped create.
The creature's skin began to boil and turn black. Its skin hissed and flowed like black tar baking under a hot sun as it began to transform. Finally, the skin cooled and hardened into a shiny black metal. Sharp talons and spikes adorned its hands, feet, tail, shoulders and head. With glowing red eyes and killer instincts, the transformation was complete.
Calvin's plan was to use the Verdugo's power and aggression to take over Subeta, but Verdugo grew out of his control. All seemed lost for Subeta until the arrival of Oranos. With help from Wesker, Oranos was able to defeat Verdugo and restore peace in Subeta.
Verdugo is highly intelligent but extremely susceptible to mind control. Although a deadly silent killer with a lust for blood, Verdugo will not attack unless his owner commands it. Verdugo remains under the complete control of Wesker.....for now....
