For his job, many see the boy as awkward.

He isn't social, he's quiet and shy. He has a hard time finding the correct words, and more often than not what words he finds are stuttered. He's thinner built than most, though hides compact muscles under pale skin. He's short, roughly five foot four and looked down upon by others. No one really knows Dyson, and he plans to stay that way.

He's a reaper, and a high class one to boot.

His genetics are a little wonky, the colour of his eyes changing with his mood. He requires next to no sleep, and survives mostly off of earl grey tea. He heals significantly faster though rarely gets hurt. His job makes him the target of many people, but he's still alive, and for that he's quite grateful.

He lives in a small apartment in the city, the main feature a bay window looking out over the cityscape. His bed is mostly unused, there is a beanbag chair and a bookcase in the apartment, but otherwise there is nothing that personalizes it. It's painted all in greys with dashes of reds, a personal colour taste that has grown on himself. There usually is a used teacup by the sink or chair though, proof that someone does reside there.

One day though, he chooses to venture into town when he isn't working. The mall is a small distance away but the buses often run. It's a spur of the moment choice, a desperate act for something to fill up his time. He's dressed in tight pants and a loose hanging top, dark makeup around his eyes as he walks the shopping center.

Luckily, change is on his side, and his dreary life is graced with colour.

He never wants to go back again.

Reapers are the same as what most humans see as 'Grim Reapers'. Those 'Grim Reapers' are Low Class Reapers in the regular reaper classes. They all work the same, as a merchant of death to let souls pass on to the afterlife.

Reapers do not have to tell others that they are reapers, though if they like they can. It changes nothing if they do or no not, many Mid or High class reapers having told their friends who they are before, though more often than not Low class reapers won't. If they make friends and live a life more so human-like, they still have to do their job as a reaper above all else. They must kill their targets, and only their targets, even if being targeted themselves by other people.

Although they can befriend whomever they like, a reaper is forbidden to fall in love with the race they dictate life over. There has been a few instances in history where a reaper has defied orders and allowed someone to live because of romantic feelings. This has caused a lot of turmoil and as such the rule was created.

Reapers in general each much learn up to five languages, primarily because of relocation and also diversity in many countries. High class reapers must learn all but three languages as there are few and many are relocated regularly. No reaper is stopped from learning more languages than needed in their classes, though it delays placement and their time in the school lasts longer. While at school each reaper is fitted with their weapon of choice, often a scythe to keep the image. Any weapon is offered though, as in the history of the planet some have taken scimitars, swords, daggers and more recently guns. One low class reaper has even taken a car as a weapon in recent times.

As reapers are no longer considered 'living beings', they no longer have a high need for sleep or food. Many reapers survive off of the bare minimum sleep requirements of their kind [roughly two hours a night] and small snacks during the day. Many will find a favourite food and eat it when they need nourishment. Alcohol does not affect their systems either, leaving them the advantage of using it as nourishment as well, although it is a poor one.
Reaper Classes

Reapers have classes: High, Medium, and Low.

Low class reapers are your typical reapers of death. They stay in the main base and go out when others are marked for death. Some mark others, and some just do the duty of letting people pass. Some wear cloaks or use charms to make them invisible, while others often act as nurses or doctors in hospitals where elderly pass.

Middle class reapers handle lesser danger zones. Often its areas with only one or mostly one side in the area. These ones are more often than not reapers in training or ones that had an ability more for the one side of the feud or the other. They also handle balancing sides in neutral zones like elves and such.

High class reapers are specialized reapers. They're made as peace keepers for the balancing between heaven/angels and hell/underworld/demons. While they aren't entirely found and taught like the other levels, high class reapers are made from the souls of angels and demons of high rankings combined. Their body mostly composed of dark matter when possible, the combination of things often reject each other. There are few high class reapers around, so they are placed where high traffic of higher ranked angels and demons are found.
