An electrical engineer, Shaun worked tirelessly with a woman named Penelope to make her vision of a fast transportation come to fruition, and throughout the entire process, the two fell desperately in love. Penelope was everything he was not, and he always believed to himself that they were soulmates. That is, until the day Penelope died and Shaun was left with an incomplete project and a dream that the love of his life would never get to see with her own eyes.
Saddened by this, Shaun became a bit of a hermit after her death, trying desperately to make Penelope's dreams come true, but he realized that without her, he would not be able to do it. He poured and poured himself over her journals and blueprints, but nothing made sense to him anymore, so he retired.
That is, until Penelope's brother, Neville came to him and exclaimed that he wanted to finish her work, and the two of them joined up in a tentative partnership. The two agreed that nothing would get in-between them and the work, and so the two are often cooped up in the laboratory. Because of this, Shaun has moved into Penelope's family home, so he could be close should something come up. Although the adjustment was hard, Shaun has slowly begun to smile once more with the help of Penelope's youngest brother, Angelo. He's a sweet boy, though he seemed rather withdrawn from the family business.
And sometimes when Angelo smiles or has this look in his eyes, Shaun can't help but be reminded of Penelope. A little too much...
