If you need to find him another home, you should definitely look into cat rescues (NOT shelters, as he could get euthanized if he's there too long). Rescues have the best resources to care for an ill cat. If he has a good temperament, there are people out there (like me) who only want one cat and who will take an FIV cat over others that will be more easily adopted. Rescues will give him the best chance, though :) And even if he has to live with them long term, most of them are great and have excellent volunteers who will keep him happy! Definitely check them out before leaving him there, though, if you are concerned for his well being. Make sure they are no kill as well. I wish you and him luck. He sounds like a sweet kitty.
