Likes: Surfing and other water related sports, hockey, snowboarding, football (soccer), teal/seagreen things, dance, being like water, hoodies, writing, art and music, cityscapes, nature, playing my guitar (I also play piano and sax), spaghetti, ramen, ice cream, citrus fruits, spicy food, sci-fi, Rick and Morty, korean/chinese series, k-pop, sloths, sharks, otters, bunnies, frogs, technology, getting dirty, MMA, oceans and beaches, comics, my friends, Undertale, rain, night, winter and the cold, making no sense in the most logical way, trying new things, not doing anything, sleeping. Suddenly, pineapples!
Dislikes: cigarette smoke (not smokers xD), human toes, flies, mosquitoes, humidity, temperatures over 80F, semi-annual teeth cleaning, durians, jellyfish (not really a dislike...more of a fear), ultimatums, guacamole/avocado, coconut, gossiping, heavy breakfast, Monopoly. A few more things I dislike, but I'll keep this light and not mention heavy real world issues.
Bad Habits: In case you want to be my friend, you should know some things. I do bite...fortunately, only if you're right next to me and in my bubble. I have a tendency to go MIA or drop from conversations. I just lose interest or get distracted easily. It's not you...or me, it's the dinosaur right outside my window. I'm also sorry if I gift you sometimes, I have this need to be liked....if I like you. Also, sometimes, I'm stupid. Please be stupid with me. Or smack me on the back of my head....metaphorically speaking...cause we're online. Unless you know me in real life. Then you can physically do it. Either one works. About Riptide
What is the inspiration behind my username?
Riptide is the name of my first surfboard. I love surfing. I love being in and around the waters. I pretty much learned how to surf before I could even ride a bike. My first surfboard was given to me by my grandfather when I entered into my first surfing competition. One of things I was taught was that if I should ever find myself in a rip current, I shouldn't try to swim against it. It would just tire me out. Go with the flow. That's where I got the idea to name my surfboard Riptide. A riptide is a strong, seaward current. Like it, I hope to be strong with a sense of direction. And similarly, my heart will always pull me out towards sea. Through surfing, I've learned a lot about myself, my life, and my faith. It's a big part of who I am.
Things I do on Subeta:
Lurk, battle, stalk people/pets, train my pets, mess with HA/wardrobe, participate in site events, kidnap Fuzzies of Doom, collect beachy stuff, hoard cookies, work up courage to talk to people, and snoop around in people's comments.
