The strong social hierarchy of the Montre pack were nothing but annoying to Moonburn. He was taught values of caring for one another, but he never felt like the pack truly offered that. After thinking about it long and hard he decided to leave them behind and roam the Icy Fields of the Arctic Frost by himself - and this hermit life brought him the greatest joy.-

One fateful night there was a spec on the endless fields of snow. Moonburn thought it was one of the rare food sources, but as he approached it it turned out to be Ruffie puppy, freezing and abandoned in the snow. Moon looked around. Nothing but snow as far as the eye could see. His muscles tensed up with the desire to leave, but there was a voice in the back of his head that he couldn't shut up: He was the Ruffies only chance of survival.He curled his tail around the freezing little creature. His pack may not have lived by what they taught, but he would forward it all towards this little fluffy ball.
