Maybe I had an accident. Maybe they had to zap me because I was so excruciatingly mangled that it was the only way to save me. It is my likeliest guess. But I became hideous! I remember the overwhelming pain... Of seeing my own face in the mirror. They had made me a Darkonite. An abomination to wander the underworld. Not even my creators dared to look at me, as all they did was cast me away into the pet shelter.
I felt like nothing but a number in the masses of 25 pets that were held there at the time. I learnt loneliness, abandonment, alienation without anyone to love or care for me. After nightmarish 24 hours a human decided to take me with her. I thought this would be a light in my eternal darkness, but that bleak ray of hope dissipated with the sound of cracking glass, as that human who had sworn to take care of me failed to watch a potion bottle.
Here I am, a scribble, even more disfigured than before. Worse than anyone could ever imagine. There is no good in this world. My minion is the only ray of light in my life of darkness, as it is the only one who can understand my eternal pain."
