I'll always associate the sound of rain with you now. How stereotypical our first meeting was, being able to now be described as "a dark and stormy night". But, really...it was. The rain came in the open door with you, you stomped your boots to get the mud off. I could faintly hear the slight splattering sounds as you tried to dry off, and Elihue later told me you tried to shake yourself off. You have a nice voice. Even though you must have been miserable from the cold and wet, and I could hear the water dripping off of you as you seated yourself, you spoke pleasantly to my twin. I enjoy hearing you speak, because while I can't see your face, I can hear the teasing or the laughter or the grin in your voice. It's too bad more people don't pay attention to that, because if they just...listened...when you spoke to them, then you'd probably get more comments of "nice". Nice. It's such an overused word, not descriptive enough. But it suits you. You seem to be trying to hide the better part of you, so I'm reduced to saying you're nice. Laid back, he tries to soothe his brother's tendencies to beat himself up over their past, and mostly goes with Elihue's flow. He's quiet much of the time because of his need to listen, both to his surroundings and to people. This quietness is handy at the bar where he and Elihue work at, because the more reclusive customers who come more for the alcohol, pool, and cigars are more likely to get relaxed by talking to Ashura, who quietly listens and accepts, never repeating what they say to him. If he decides he likes someone, or forms an opinion of them, it's hard to sway him away from that opinion unless he's witness to something that would change his mind, or unless Elihue practically shoves it down his throat. More self-sufficient than he seems, he isn't bothered when people forget he's blind, yet he's also fine with people doing the little extra that helps him. If he feels it's too much, he'll tell you. -His blindness was a slow progression, due to brain damage when he was about 12 years old. By the time he was seventeen, he was completely blind. -It's rare that he and Elihue will agree on a person, since Ashura relies on sound, smell, and touch, while Elihue relies on what he sees and a little on what he hears. -Before going blind, he was learning Krav Maga (close-quarters combat style specializing in a 360 defense) with Elihue from an ex-Navy SEAL.
