-The Legend of Odrog the Protector of Hunger-

Odrog is a chubby gargoyle with a big belly that loves food. He would love to eat sweets and desserts the most, gorging himself to the point of pure contentedness. One day after gorging he was visited by a demonic presence. The demon, thinking it would be fun, cursed him and left him with a belly that was always full. He had loved to eat food so much and now unable to eat ever again for fear of a tummy ache, he became very sad. For weeks he shut himself up inside his home trying to eat his favorite foods but after just a few bites he would become sick. His tummy also grew very big. It suddenly came to him that he could use this curse and give all his tasty foods to those that are really in need of it. He soon opened his home to the hungry, turning it into a soup kitchen.

The demon,watching the events play out, became extremely angry. Using a bit of his demon-magic he gave life to various foods across the lands. These foods became sentient and after a while became known as Soul Foods. Creatures that came in contact with these foods could not bring themselves to eat them, but to keep them as pets, for they would cry and scream if you tried to eat them. Odrog began to search out these Soul Foods protecting them from those that didn't care if the foods had a life of their own, taking many of them into his own home.

Odrog was then sought out by Gwydia, the leader of the Protectors of Pure. She had heard of his recent great deeds of heroism to the hungry and to the Soul Foods. Gwydia then bestowed upon him the title of Protector of Hunger. Within the walls of the great fortress of the Protectors of Pure, Odrog opened a massive soup kitchen where he serves soup, sandwiches and desserts to all who are hungry and in need. Odrog feeds those in need of full bellies as well as protecting the Soul Foods, giving them shelter and finding them good homes. Even though he needs to never eat again, he does occasionally eat something which is why he has such a big round belly to this day.
