Everyone wants to be on Ashbel's side. She is absolutely loyal, strong willed and very intelligent. She seems to know what is going on all around her. She senses when storms are coming, she senses unease from the land. She always has roamed the surrounding countryside but now she goes out for a purpose. One day Ashbel comes back just a few hours after she left. She made it very clear Sommerherz was to follow her. She grabbed Sommerherz's jacket and Sommerherz followed his jacket. Sommerherz finally got his legs under him and followed Ashbel. Those observing this force of will followed the two of them and everyone else got in line to follow them. They traveled miles that day. The next day Ashbel slowed up as not all were as fit as she was. Late afternoon as they were reached the top of a foothill they saw across the gully the sun shining on a sparkling surface which looked like a roof with pillars supporting it. There was just enough time before sunset to descend into a lovely wooded gully with a creek available for drinking water. The next morning everyone was up early to climb the good sized hill. After a surprisingly easy climb they arrived to stare speechless at the vast all marble structure. The marble roof was classically supported by columns with beautiful supporting arches between the columns. The flooring was intricate mosaics with sparkling gems in leaf and flowers patterns. All of Sommerherz's experiments crowded together to stare at it. Then they started to explore the structure which covered the entire hilltop. When they reached the opposite side they looked down an expansive lawn with multi fruit trees and bushes giving shade and fruit to eat in the shade. At the bottom of the hill ran the same creek they had camped beside the night before. Ashbel and Sommerherz rested in the shade of an ancient apple tree. "This is enchanted. Unusually quiet" mused Sommerherz. Ashbel said "No was enchanted now cursed. The curse is wearing off this is why we are here. Takes time for the curse to completely die. Life is coming back. The faeries will be back soon. The old trees are homes for the faeries. Have no idea why the marble structure is here it could be a faerie folly thing." Ashbel looked at Sommerherz whose mouth was still hanging open in shock. Ashbel continued "Not long before the curse is completely lifted from this place and your home." Finally Sommerherz found his voice "Blast it! You speak!!! All this time you never said a word." "I had nothing to say" Ashbel said simply. Sommerherz was turning vivid red "You have something to say now?" "Yes, we have to be gone when the faeries return. A group of us will have to find a place for us to live. I recently heard of a place called Souchiix's Glade. A few of us should go and make sure it is suitable for us. We are a fairly large group. Have spent all our lives in seclusion. I think Aule and Anamarie should go with me to look over Souchiix's Glade. Anamarie should go as most of us are the common experiment. Aule and myself are the exceptions. "You have this all figured out" sneered Sommerherz. "That's right"
