Basic Information
--------------
Name: Roseanna Nadejda Balkov-Halleton
Meaning: Of The Rose Blossom, Gracious, Hope
Alias: Rosa, Nadia
Gender: Female
Age: 24
Nationality: Russian (part English)Build: Petite, though a little taller than average.
Hair: Dark brown with a touch of red, lengthy, straight.
Eyes: Light blue, intelligent.
Features: Only ever called "Nadia" by Alexie.
English father, Russian mother. Her middle name comes from her mother.
Commonly seen wearing red. She is always seen in a bandana or headband.
She switches between each half of her surname depending on the company she's in.--------------She had always had that gift for mechanics. Tinkering and tweaking to get that gear or that tick in just the right place. A quality she had picked up from her father, no-doubt."Where are we going?"
"You'll see. Just be patient, and keep up!"Her young legs could barely keep up with him. But as his infectious smile beamed over his shoulder towards her, she felt somehow lighter - the aching dimmed, and she carried on. The girl chased him down the street, dark hair fluttering frantically behind her as the wind lifted it from her shoulders."Papa! Slow down!"
"Whoops, sorry!"She let out a heavy breath as the man slowed his pace, the hand that she had been so desperately clinging onto returning to a comfortable grip. The slightly ragged-looking blonde beamed down at her, smile widening to a grin. He was excited about something. Her father always did this - set up little surprises and treats for her - and her mind raced over what it could be. Sweets? Treasure? It had to be something good - he never ran this fast usually! Brushing her hair back into place, the girl composed herself, settling into a quick but steady stride alongside her father. She couldn't help but notice, but his fingers seemed to be twitching."You're excited aren't you?"
"Is that so wrong? Come on, this way."As he rounded a corner, the street seemed to open out, the ground beneath their feet turning to cobbles. She struggled to gain her balance at first, small soles perched atop the individual stones as they walked. In fact, she was so preoccupied with not falling over that she barely noticed the small, old shop they were approaching. A soft ding chimed above her, the child glancing up to realise they were now inside - it was a quaint little place, walls lined with all kinds of trinkets; clocks, jewellery, mechanical whizgadgets... an inventor's paradise, no-doubt!Her father was in conversation with the patron behind the counter for nought but two minutes before he tuned back to face her, crouching down to sit at her eye level."I know you always liked these, Roseanna. You can put whatever you like inside - but keep it safe, okay? Here."With a gentle, calmer smile, he took her hand and pressed something to it - small, rounded and cold, like metal. In fact, it was metal.Overlay by Rachel
