I don't have strong memories from my childhood at all, so I can't really say what I noticed. The only thing I remember is knowing I was in the yellow class when I was 8, which I called the golden class because yellow is an offensive colour xD

Yeah, that makes sense. I've always had it, but it's been more prominent in my teenage years than my childhood. I went through a phase where it became more... obvious? I actually started to notice it, so I addressed it far more than before, so now I'm more aware of it.
I have a lot of different kinds... Mostly grapheme-colour, but I also have elements of spatial synesthesia, where days and weeks and months etc take a particular position in my mind. I very occasionally get other forms like sound-colour, but rarely. Another think I get is sensation-colour-number (they're all interlinked, I guess the number comes first but the colour comes with it because of the grapheme-colour synesthesia). And then I get... Have you heard anything about synesthesia being affect-laden? Like when you see certain sounds, you feel a certain way? I get that all the time, not just when I'm experiencing other forms of synesthesia... It's very difficult to explain that one xD It's basically like I can feel certain things, like concepts or people, in my syn-space... If that makes any sense at all xDSynesthete
