The young girl sat quietly on the sofa, in this quiet house, in the quiet dark night of this forest covered rural region. In the dimly lit room he screen glowed on the laptop computer sat on the table in front of her with a very soft, very faint hum. The TV, set on children’s cartoons, as her odd mind preferred, was muted. The world was now silent for her. Her fingers gently slid over the surface of the computer’s touch pad as she scrolled down to the bottom of a Creepy Pasta Wiki article. She huffed and blew her wild red brown hair out of her face in a defiant way. “So bogus.†She said as she fell back onto the sofa and lounged there now. The room was so silent, the dog was even totally quiet, sleeping in the hall. Her eyes stared at the TV screen, as the clock ticked endlessly on, and on, and on… and so she sat, quiet, on and on… as the time went by, her mind started to wander. And as an hour ticked by quietly, she then, began to softly tear up. She cried softly to herself, her mind playing tricks on her now, as some horrible thing came to her mind. She was slightly insane in a certain way, a way brought by trauma. Her soft eyes leaked for several minutes on until she then, in a strange, bizarre way, began to smile. Something else came to her mentally, and she then spoke quietly to what seemed like an empty room. “I know, I’ll try to calm down…†She giggled. “I know you’re behind me, Slendy.†She said with a tone that was slowly growing in happiness. “You can’t sneak up on me.†She said again with another adorable giggle. It was then that a dark shadow began to appear behind her. It seemed human, and yet it was an almost frighteningly bizarre height at first, and it had long tendrils coming from it’s back as it formed. Soon it began to walk around to the front of the sofa, to the girl, and as it did it seemed to change form – it grew shorter, and seemed to become fully solid, until a being sat beside her on the sofa. It was still strangely tall and bizarrely skinny, yet so much less menacing, and it’s tendrils were gone. It had a bald white skinned head, with absolutely no face nor a sign of one. Skinny white hands with odd long fingers came out of sleeves of a black suit with a white tie. It looked at her, moving it’s head in a human way, she looked at, apparently, him, and she smiled. When she looked at him, She seemed to respond to him, as if he was speaking to her without words, telepathically. “No… I feel a little better, but..†She said softly. This slender being then tilted it’s head in a sympathetic way, and seemed to lift and then outstretch it’s bizarrely long arms to her, asking her to hug him. Those same long arms that had been a menacing image in his reputation. This girl simply smiled and, oh so willingly, moved herself closer to him and embraced him, almost clingingly, he then wrapped his long arms around her and embraced her, as she hugged this supernatural being tightly, trustingly, sweetly. He moved a long arm and lifted his hand up to her head, and softly stroked her head in a caring way. The girl smiled in a warm and happy way, to show that, deep down, she knew fully in her heart, she was safe with this being, safe with her friend, The Slender Man. |
