The teenage girl sat in her room as a thunderstorm raged outside,
music playing on her headphones as she sketched in her book.
Suddenly, the electricity cut out.
It startled her as the lights went out,
she looked around, "Damn storm!" she said.
her eyes not adjusting, she started to feel around to stand up,
trying to find her flashlight at the same time. Getting out of her bed,
she took a step forward and stepped right on her dog's tennis ball,
her foot slid forward and she almost fell,
and would have hit her head hard,
if not for a strange gloved hand grabbing her hand before she fell over.
there was then somehow a soft glow in the room, and as she looked up,
There he was, the spirit known as CandleJack.
he held his candle with one hand and pulled her up with another
with a smile on his burlap face.
When she had her footing, she smiled. "Thanks." she said.
He was clearly a much more friendly spirit than most had thought.
Then he held his candle up to help her look around the room.
She then looked back at him,
"Lets go see if it's a breaker or get some more light..."
She said softly and began to walk,
as CandleJack, floating in such a spooky way,
following by her, lighting her way.
