Scimitar doesn't remember how long he's been alive. He doesn't remember his family. All he has known for as long as he can remember is that he has a mission: to purify the sins of humans. He can only remember being told that the human race has become sullied and must be irradicated in order to start a new, that Doomsday must come. Somewhere in his heart Scimitar didn't entirely believe those words, but as an angel, he had to conform the ideals of those more powerful than him, and so he went to Earth to help Ash (and Angela) carry out their part.

However, something happened to Scimitar on Earth. He became enchanted by the odd creatures known as humans, and started to enjoy their company. He would spend his free time watching them cross on the streets outside of the palace, and occasionally sneaking out to revel in the crowded streets of London. It was on an errand for the Queen, however, that his life completely changed. While placing an order for a large ball at the Queen's favorite confectioner, an interesting employee caught his eye. The shy boy, with the different colored eyes made his heart skip wildly in his chest, and Scimitar knew he had to be a part of this particular human's life. That is how he met Luca Faustus...but he didn't know everything about him...not yet.

Luca and Scimitar became the best of friends quite quickly, their friendship soon evolving into something more intimate. Though they were happy together, they couldn't help but be suspicious of one another. Each knew something was odd about the other, that perhaps their human appearances were only a masquerade. It would be revealed that the two were right. Scimitar begged Luca to tell him the secrets he was keeping, and the boy revealed that he was indeed not human, but the creature that Scimitar was told to hate most, a demon. A part of Scimitar was horrified, another uncaring of the fact and more worried of what Luca would think of him. In turn Scimitar revealed his true form as an angel to Luca, feeling this was the point at which their relationship, and his world ended. However, neither wished for it to end, and came to the conclusion that somehow they would make it work, keeping it a secret from those closest to them...

Perhaps his superiors detect that something is strange, but Scimitar continues to go through the motions for them. Much to their continued chagrin, he has no emotion behind his part in Doomsday...perhaps that is why they are suspicious. In the end, however, it doesn't really matter. Scimitar may have secretly fallen, but for the first time in his immortality, he is happy.
