Gotye is the sole heir to the Angel family fortune. Born into the wealthy family, his mother and father died when he was just a boy of sixteen. Being bratty and used to being pampered, Gotye was nearly helpless for the first few months on his own. He couldn't care for the mansion properly, leaving it dirty and full of cobwebs. He was too proud to hire a maid.

While out shopping for food in the Sacred Lands market one night, Gotye met another noble– a slightly older man by the name of Haydin. Gotye struck up a conversation with the other, recognizing Haydin's wealth by his jewelry and extravagance. After learning of Gotye's loneliness, Haydin offered to let Gotye stay at his family's home for the time being.

There, Gotye met Haydin's adopted brother, a handsome lad around his age called Harmko, Harm for short. Gotye quickly fell for the other, yet Harm was hesitant to reciprocate, put off by Gotye's arrogance. The pink-haired man wasn't ready to give up just yet, and continued to court Harm until eventually, Harm agreed to be his lover.

Haydin didn't mind the two's relationship much, glad to see his brother happy, although Gotye got on his every nerve. Haydin heavily regretted letting Gotye stay at his house at all, resenting the other's bad attitude. Despite this, Gotye moved into their manor and Harm became his betrothed. His rivalry with Haydin remains.
