Life Goals:
Volunteer at Animal Shelter [Applied / Accepted!]
11.8.14 - First day volunteering! Lots of fun, incredible shelter. Will be returning Saturday, 11am-3pm.
12.28.14 - Still volunteering, favorite dog is Max. :P
Got a job at Walgreens, first day is 4.27.15.First day was actually between May20th-May30th.My managers are complete jerks, omg.
Worked at Panera for about 7-8 months. For one of those end months, I was working at both Panera nd Splash Dog. Quit Panera to work solely at Splash Dog.
Quit Splash Dog on August 13th in preparation for the big move.
Plans failed, SO had to come home for potential surgery. Will move around August of 2017. Still working at Splash Dog. c:
11.5.16 - Koda passed away from a spleen tumor. I feel that I failed him as a momma. :c I miss him more than anything and my home is empty without him.
11.12.16 - My grandfather passed away after having pneumonia twice in the hospital. I don't know how to process all of this loss at once.
1.8.17 - Still deeply depressed, still working at Splash Dog infrequently. Getting flashbacks and hot flashes now and then. I'll probably get another job soon.
2.16.17 - My friend Doug passed away, either last night or sometime today… I can't believe it. It doesn't feel like he's gone, but they're bringing his dogs to Buddy soon (he was a volunteer there, I've known him since I first started volunteering there).
3.16.17 - Doug's dogs were brought into Buddy awhile ago, and both are already adopted. I never got to meet Boomer, but I got to meet Edgar again. It's comforting to know that they both have homes and are being taken care of. It feels like Doug just isn't coming to Buddy anymore, it doesn't feel like he's gone. I don't know if this is a healthy way to think of it.
4.21.17 - We adopted Finn today, officially! He is a small Springer Spaniel mix that came into Buddy Foundation a week or so earlier. I almost didn't stop by Buddy to see the 4 new dogs we got before I went to my SO's house. Since I did go to Buddy, I met Finn and decided I had to adopt him. He had his first bath yesterday! He is quite a handful though.
7.6.17 - Finn has acclimated very nicely into our family, and is still stubborn, but getting better every day. We've taken him to the off-leash park and he runs very far from us, which worries me, but he always comes back. He will learn. c:
3.1.22 - Haven't updated this in ages! xD I live in an apartment with my partner now, and we have 3 cats.
10.31.22 - It's been a long and difficult year. We had to let our dog Rambo go, his liver was failing, and the day we put him down was the day after my birthday. :c We miss him so much.
On another note, I think I'm going to go into dog grooming.
9.26.23 Adopted Pippin, a 3yo pom mix from Paws Chicago! Used to be a stray and is amazing on the grooming table.
10.18.23 Became a certified Dog Groomer at Petco!
3.7.24 Handed in my 2-week notice at Petco cuz corporate is terrible & not respecting my needs. Wish there were jobs that gave a shit about their employees but I can never find them. Want to go into IT or temp work next.
