A Colugo is a small arboreal gliding mammal that only exists in Southeast Asia. They are also known as Cobegos or flying lemurs, although they are not true lemurs. Of all the gliding mammals, colugos have the most extensive adaptation for flight.
Colugos are shy, nocturnal, solitary organisms found in the tropical forests, and are now considered to be the closest living relatives of primates. They are herbivorous and eat leaves, shoots, flowers, sap, and fruit. Both species are threatened by habitat destruction.
