I would also like you to be aware that, like a lot of people, I do not accept random friend requests (Friend requests from people I have not actually spoken to yet), and if you do send a random friend request, I will most likely not even reply to you; after all, if you couldn't even be bothered to talk to me, why should I be bothered to acknowledge your request at all? You obviously didn't care about it in the first place. So, please, talk to me first, establish that we have mutual interests, then ask, then request. It's not that hard of a process.
